Hurricane Ike brought widespread damage and utility outages to the gulf coast area. Our building in Houston was without power for several days but the Nearterm office based team implemented our recovery plan as soon as it was safe. Data and communications were established through remote assets even before power was turned back on. We suffered no real property loss.
Our disaster plan is built on the understanding that our clients, business partners, professional staff and friends are located all over the country. All expect us to be there when needed, regardless of the surrounding circumstances in our immediate area. Ike was a good test and we are proud to say that we did not miss a step.
We commend all who worked so hard to accomplish this speedy recovery and we thank all who might have endured the minor business inconveniences that are inevitable when disaster strikes.
